Global Studies offers a summer Scholar Access Grant program approximately every other year. This program is open to all faculty currently teaching at any two-year, four-year, or technical college in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, or Minnesota. Awardees are funded to come to UW-Madison for one week during the summer months to consult with international studies specialists and to use the University's international and global studies library collections to further their research and course development in international and global studies. Applications for Summer 2009 are no longer being accepted. |

Applications to study themes closely related to the Global Studies' mission will receive priority consideration. The grant covers transportation to Madison, lodging, per diem, and miscellaneous research expenses (e.g., photocopying) up to a total of $750. At the end of the grant period, scholars must submit a short project report to Global Studies outlining Madison activities and specific plans to integrate information gained from the grant into courses.
