In 1999, the Land Tenure Center established the Kloeck-Jenson Memorial Fund
at the UW Foundation to honor our very dear friends, Scott
and Barbara Kloeck-Jenson and their two children, Zoe and
Noah. The fund provided grants to social science students
in their last year of studies at the Universidade Eduardo
Mondlane in Mozambique to help finance field work for their
theses. We believe the fund reflected the dedication Scott
and Barbara showed toward education, and it also reflected
the fact that much of Scott’s most fulfilling work while in
Mozambique was with students at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane.
Currently, the Scott Kloeck-Jenson
Fellowship Fund is used to award funds to students researching
or working on social justice issues in most areas of the world.
The fund is now managed by Global Studies at the UW-Madison.
